• Production begins June 7, 2010
• Upgraded HP rating of 312 horsepowers on the V6 model (3.6L SIDI V6 engine) (details in GM press release)
• Synergy Green color offered on ALL models (not just V6 models, to which it was originally restricted) for a limited time. (details in GM press release)
• Heads Up Display (HUD) offered as standard equipment on 2LT and 2SS models, with the following functions:

   Vehicle speed

   Tachometer

   Compass

   Outside air temperature

   Manual Paddle Shift Gear Indicator (if equipped)

   OnStar Turn-by-Turn

   Audio functions

   Phone information

   Selected gear

August 10, 2006
GM Chairman and CEO Rick Wagoner announced that an all-new version of the Chevrolet Camaro would be built based on the award-winning concept coupe which debuted in January 2006.

Note: the all-new Camaro was originally scheduled to begin production at the end of 2008 and to go on sale in the first quarter of 2009 for the 2009 model year, but General Motors stated in January 2009 that production would be delayed until March 16, 2009 with the Camaro going on sale in the spring of 2009 for the 2010 model year.
